JONESBORO – An amendment was made to update ordinance 2014-3 regarding updating the Craighead County employment policy for “per hours paid” and “per hours worked.”

There was confusion in Monday’s Quorum Court meeting regarding whether or not the ordinance should be changed to per hour worked instead of what it was originally going to be, which was per hours paid.

County Clerk Kade Holliday said if it was changed to hours worked, he would need new software to configure time and hours worked. Jason Price said the time paid is all that should matter.

The court made a final decision to leave the ordinance as it originally was and to keep it to hours paid.
